Job Description
The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota is seeking a Director of Imaging at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank on an academic track.
We are seeking expertise in general clinical cardiology, advanced training and expertise in advanced imaging patient care management, as well as proven knowledge and success in research publication and mentorship. As a member of our team you will work closely with the Cardiovascular Division and Imaging Section faculty to expand the University’s imaging clinical and academic missions.
Position Highlights:
- Join a multidisciplinary team of 30+ Cardiologists
- Be involved in clinical efforts in imaging lab, University and outreach clinics, and general hospital service.
- Time focused on 80% clinical with 20% protected research
- Play an active role in instructing and mentoring fellows
About the Division:
The Division has a well established regional and national reputation as a source of cardiovascular imaging, clinical care, and research. For more than six decades we have been known for our leadership and innovation in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Our clinical faculty provide outstanding, innovative, and compassionate care and our clinical and basic science research programs provide the backbone of our ground breaking, clinical-care solutions we embed into our care model.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in general clinical cardiology and advanced training and expertise in advanced imaging patient care management.
- Proven knowledge and success in research publication and mentorship.
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and training program.
- Board eligible/certified in Cardiology.
- Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Attainment of externally funded grant submissions.
- Experience in large clinical research trails.
- Leadership experience in clinical program development
- Demonstrated national leadership and/or service.
