Job Description

Anesthesia / Pain position in Georgia just north of Atlanta. The group plans to expand the pain business next summer at the main hospital, small community hospital and a few surgery centers. This is a 50/50 split of anesthesia and pain. The hospital does a variety of cases except for hearts and sick pediatrics. The group is developing the hospital’s acute pain service. Chronic pain can be interventional or non-interventional medication management. Most of the chronic medication management patients are handled by the nurse practioners with the legally required MD visit every three months. The NP’s for the most part, also are handling the daily (weekly) inpatient acute pain service rounding. The group is made up of 12 MD’s and 18 CRNA’s. There are presently 4 Pain docs on staff. The salary starts about 250K with a 25-30K sign on bonus. They also offer a profit sharing plan that has an average around 15% over the last 10+ years. There is partnership with this opportunity.
