Job Description

Northwestern Iowa is searching permanently for an anesthesiologist. You would spend three weeks per month working on general anesthesia and one week per month covering at the pain clinic. A pain fellowship is not a requirement. The anesthesia cases consist of lots of ortho, general and trauma. The pain cases consist of epidurals, facet injections, evaluate, treat and renew narcotics. The group is made up of 6 Anesthesiologists, 1 Pain MD and 15 full time CRNA’s. You would be supervising the CRNA’s 100% of the time. They did about 8,400 cases last year and average about 35 cases per day. They have 12 OR suites and currently are running 8 rooms and one room for the da Vinci surgical system. You will be required to take 1st call 51 days per year and 2nd call 63 days per year and will always have post call day off. This is a W2 position and they are offering a full benefits package.
