Just minutes from Miami Beach. This regional Hospital is a 256-bed, acute-care hospital located in the heart of historic Dade County, Florida. The community-based hospital serves much of South Dade, Latin America, and the Caribbean population. To better serve it's multi-cultural patient base, the hospital's staff includes bilingual professionals. This Hospital offers a broad range of services, from primary care to surgery and specialty care. One of its many specialty programs is the Orthopedic Joint Replacement Program. The program includes a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals including board-certified surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and physical therapists trained specifically in orthopedic care. A comprehensive Urology Program is staffed by board-certified urologists and offers treatment for a wide array of urological conditions, including impotency, incontinence and cryo. The hospital has also received accreditation from the American Diabetes Association for its Diabetes Education Program, which teaches self-management techniques through a comprehensive course taught by a team of professionals. An active member of the community, this Hospital reaches out everyday in an effort to provide quality health care to the people who need it. It is licensed by the state of Florida and approved to accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most HMOs. It is also fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).
