Northern Arkansas  - Hospitalist

The permanent Hospitalist position is with a private group of Hospitalists wanting to expand, currently with 5 members, signed #6 for next year already. The schedule is flexible. Compensation is highly competitive, with recruitment incentives for signing bonus and relocation provided by the Medical Center. We have an 18 bed ICU (combination medsurg and cardiac) that is eICU, or electronic ICU, that is tied to a group of Intensivists offsite that provide 24 hour care to patients through video monitors in addition to our own medical staff. Patient volume is approx 12-15 each physician. Hospitalists can do procedures if they choose but aren't required because there is a procedure team on call if desired. The cardiothoracic surgeon mostly takes care of the heart patients. The group wants candidates that are looking for a permanent position and place to settle down, good fit for the community. They are not looking for someone who wants to stay only 1 or 2 years. 

Medical Center is a 268-bed tertiary care hospital serving a 14-county area encompassing a population of 275,000 in northern Arkansas and southern Missouri. The active medical staff consists of 100 physicians representing approximately 30 medical specialties. The Emergency Department was recently renovated, and has 22 beds all with state-of-the-art monitors and approximately 28,000 visits annually. Recent innovations include 3 Hyperbaric Chambers in the Medical Center Wound Healing Center, and Tele-psych services.
