Job Description
The Hospitalist Program has earned the respect and support of the Administration, Medical Staff and Nursing Staff. The Hospitalist Team of ten full and part-time physicians provide on-site services 24/7 at MedCentral Hospital. Day shifts are generally 7am - 7pm (dual coverage) and the schedule consists of four to seven days on and four to seven days off. Each full time hospitalist will provide up to 192 hours of clinical professional medical services per month consisting of approximately 12 and eight-hour shifts. The Hospitalist Team provides service response for codes, consultations, inpatient episodic medical care, ICU procedures, unassigned ED call and patient admission/discharge. Dedicated social worker/case manager and discharge summary nurse to facilitate efficient treatment. Hospitalist census css an average of four to eight patient admissions per day. Dedicated three-room office space for the Hospitalist Team. Transcription service is available 24/7 with a three-hour turnaround. (#629)
