Job Description

Southern New York! Hospitalist Medical Director sought. The hospital is transitioning from its employed model to an independent group that will provide 24/7 in-house coverage and offer the physicians significant ownership benefits. Currently, IMS covers approximately 50% of the hospitals Average Daily Census of 115. The program goal is to provide inpatient coverage for all requesting physicians. Current schedule is a 6-week rotation of days, evenings, night call and weekends. New group will likely have a 24/7, 5-7on/5-7 off schedule. Medical Director Responsibilities: Oversee and supervise the Hospitalist program; perform all administrative, supervisory, educational and contractual functions relating to the Hospitalist Service; provide daily site management, report preparation and planning of Hospitalist services; participate on hospital committees as requested; assist with interviews/recruitment/site orientation; perform random and regular chart reviews.
