Job Description

Looking for a general surgeon who wants to practice in western Maine. The hospital is currently recruiting a General Surgeon to join its’ multi-specialty group practice. It is comprised of nine offices providing primary and surgical care to a population of 40,000. You will join two other experienced general surgeons Call is shared at 1:3 for nights and weekends. This group sees about 2400 general surgery cases annually. This is an employed position with a highly competitive salary, bonus options and complete fringe benefits package. You will receive relocation expenses, and assistance with your medical education debt. The practice is located in modern office with medical assistant support staff, practice manager, on-site ultrasound, and an office-based billing system. Your office is located less then a mile from the admitting hospital. With a complete renovation of the surgical department several years ago, the hospital has 3 state-of the-art operating suites, plus a cysto room .
