Supervisory Physician Joplin, MO

We are looking for a physician to join our medical group part time to provide direct patient care as well as supervision of the PA/NPs on staff at our office in Joplin, MO. This position offers minimal time commitment and a flexible schedule. The Physician will be supervising the PA’s/NPs remotely by phone/text and will also be working 1-2 days per month of direct patient care performing joint injections and BMAC procedures. Great work/life balance with no call, nights, or holidays. We prefer the Supervising Physician to be performing bone marrow procedures, but a qualified mid-level provider could do them if the physician approved.

We utilize the very latest in natural regenerative cellular therapies to help decrease inflammation, improve pain, and repair injured or degenerated tissues. Our patient experience is unparalleled in the medical field, as we provide a concierge level of service throughout the entire clinical experience. We have a team of medical doctors, midlevel providers, nurses, CMA’s, phlebotomists, and administrative staff on hand to help provide high quality patient care. The NP/PA’s examine patients and perform joint injections in our physical medicine office. We provide concierge medicine; the patients are seeking high quality care not covered by insurance and we strive to make them comfortable and educated about the procedures so that they are satisfied in undergoing the treatments offered.

Duties:

• Supervisory role of the PA/NP
• Be available via phone/text for remote guidance when not in the clinic
• Oversee medical operations
• Perform randomized patient/chart review to assure proper treatment procedures are being followed
• Availability for consultation and direction of the PA/NP
• Can work remote, off site for chart reviews and most supervision
• Direct patient care (history and physical exams focused on joint injuries) Review patient records as needed
• Treatment plan formulation and recommend options for patients
• Answer patient’s questions and concerns- explain treatment in detail to patients and families
• Interpret/read x-rays and MRI
• Perform injections/procedures- one day per week required for in-clinic procedures, to include joint injections and BMAC (we can provide training if needed)
• Meet with the supervised providers and follow state medical guidelines regarding chart reviews

Requirements:

• BCBE in Pain Management, Family medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, or PM&R preferred
• Prior experience/background in joint injections and BMAC preferred but we will provide training
• MD or DO License to Practice Medicine in MO
• Must reside within 75 miles of the office

Schedule:

• 1-2 days per month for in-clinic procedures (Fridays)
• Remote supervisory capacity 1 day per week

Compensation:

• $1,500-$2,000/month for supervisory capacity
• Additional $1,500-$2,000 per day for in-office procedures (BMAC)
