Northern Light Mercy Geriatric Care is seeking an organized and compassionate Physician to join its growing Geriatric Care practice three days per week.

Northern Light Mercy Geriatric Care providers care for patients in nursing homes and long-term care facilities throughout Southern Maine. This is a unique and attractive opportunity to join a team of dedicated geriatricians who meet, treat, and develop relationships with patients right where they are.

Our Geriatric Care providers are supported by dedicated clinical support staff and by the entire infrastructure of the (Login for Information) system. This role will likely be split between two care facilities.

As a member of the Geriatric Care team, you can expect:

  • A communicative team;
  • The deep resources of a statewide healthcare system;
  • Competitive compensation;
  • Educational Loan Repayment;
  • Option for 4 day work week;
  • Clinical support; and
  • Top notch benefits.

Northern Light Mercy Hospital, an acute care, non-profit hospital in Portland, Maine, is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas. We advocate for a society in which all can realize their full potential and achieve the common good. We give priority to those that society ignores. The greater Portland community has come to rely on the personal care and healing focus that Northern Light Mercy Hospital provides. Northern Light Mercy Hospital is a member of (Login for Information), an integrated statewide health delivery system that is raising the bar with no-nonsense solutions that are leading the way to a healthier future for our state.

Northern Light Mercy Hospital, located in Maine's largest city, Portland, offers a blend of old-world charm and modern sophistication. This city has been routinely ranked among the top ten in national listings for best restaurants, health, and the best place to raise a family. You don't have to go far outside of Portland to "get away." Whether you prefer the urban way of life or rustic country living, southern Maine offers something for everyone.

At (Login for Information), we're building a better approach to healthcare because we believe people deserve access to care that works for them. As an integrated health delivery system serving Maine, we're raising the bar with no-nonsense solutions that are leading the way to a healthier future for our state. Our more than 12,000 team members--in our hospitals, primary and specialty care practices, long-term and home healthcare, and ground and air medical transport and emergency care--are committed to making healthcare work for our patients, communities, and employees.
