Hospitalist job located in Texas

Growing Program with 7 On/7 Off (DAYS) Schedule Near Gulf Coast
 Great opportunity to join a private practice that provides hospitalist services for a financially secure community hospital serving a large area of south/central Texas.  
 This is one of those rare situations where the Hospitalist team, hospital and local docs are all on the same page and support each other fully!  Great work environment!
 This 5 year-old program near the sunny Gulf Coast has seen steady growth and is looking for a 5th full-time hospitalist:
• 7 On/7 Off schedule with 12-hour DAY shifts; beeper/cell call from home 3 nights per week (returns to the hospital are rare)
• Average patient volume currently 35 patients per day; rarely above 37 ppd
• ER is responsible for codes but hospitalist welcome to participate as qualified
• ICU procedures not required, but training/experience would be a plus (currently performed by pulmonologist, general surgeons or ER docs)
• Current hospitalists (all mid-career or younger and Board Certified) have great group dynamics and enjoy the respect/support of the medical staff

We’re looking for BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians with hospitalist training or experience.  ICU procedures a big plus, but not required.

Hospital is prepared to assist financially in recruitment of a qualified physician into the private practice that provides hospitalist services.  Our recruitment package may include:
