Post Acute Care Physician Needed in Southern Maryland - Near the Chesapeake Bay!!

The position is located in Southern Maryland  -  – within Post-Acute Care Centers.  – very rural, low cost of living, low crime rate, near the Chesapeake bay. The Physician would be one with Geriatric medicine experience, but we will also consider one with Family and Internal medicine experience.  

Client is a rapidly growing private hospitalist and post-acute group of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants dedicated to providing comprehensive, cost-effective quality medical care to patients in hospitals, skilled nursing and rehabilitative centers, assisted living, and continuing care retirement communities.

Client provides continuity of care from the acute care into the skilled rehabilitation setting and  currently provide short-term-resident care at rehabilitation centers throughout Maryland.

Physician will:

·      Competently perform History and Physical exams

·        Competently perform Consultations on existing patients

·        Provide cross coverage support as requested by medical staff

·        Round on existing hospitalist patients and on medical staff patients as requested

·        Submit accurate and timely charges for all professional services performed

·        Federal DEA/Maryland CDS certification in good standing

·        Existing facility medical staff member in good standing or successful application and credentialing at facility

·        Internal Medicine/Family Practice board certification/eligibility

·        Criminal background check

·        Experience with geriatric patients
