Work alongside 4 other hospital employed IM's. Group has a well established patient base and refers all inpatient needs to the hospitalist department. The current physicians would like a well qualified caring physician to take over an additional patient base created by one physician leaving the market & another leaving private practice to join the hospitalist group. This is an employed position. Shared call 1:5 only by phone. Hospital is a full service acute-care community hospital with approximately 43K annual ER visits, a new 64-Slice CT Scanner, PACS, an Ambulatory Surgery Center and a 2nd Cath Lab. Located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of southern Virginia, the city has 32K residents and pulls about 92K residents into their primary coverage area.
