Supervisory Physician/Medical Director Buffalo, NY

Part time -Remote Work!

 

We are looking for a physician to join our medical group part time for supervision of the PA/NPs on staff at our office in the Buffalo, NY area in Williamsville. This position offers minimal time commitment and a flexible schedule, working 1 day per month. The Physician will be supervising the PA’s/NPs remotely by phone/text and may also be working occasionally, providing direct patient care performing BMAC procedures if the onsite PA/Clinic MD is unable to perform on a scheduled day. Great work/life balance with no call, nights, or holidays.

We are a busy multidisciplinary medical office in the Buffalo, NY area. We specialize in the use of advanced regenerative medicine to treat arthritis, sports related injuries, and chronic pain. Our mission is to help as many patients as possible enjoy a higher quality of life by improving their musculoskeletal pain and injuries with a wide variety of treatment options. We utilize the very latest in natural regenerative cellular therapies to help decrease inflammation, improve pain, and repair injured or degenerated tissues. Our patient experience is unparalleled in the medical field, as we provide a concierge level of service throughout the entire clinical experience. We have a team of medical doctors, midlevel providers, nurses, CMA’s, phlebotomists, and administrative staff on hand to help provide high quality patient care. The NP/PA’s examine patients and perform joint and trigger point injections in our physical medicine office. We provide concierge medicine; the patients are seeking high quality care not covered by insurance and we strive to make them comfortable and educated about the procedures so that they are satisfied in undergoing the treatments offered.

Duties:

  • Reviews, establishes and maintains patient care protocol and standards, ensuring that all federal and state policies, regulations, and guidelines for patient care are met; establishes and coordinates quality improvement, safety, and infection control programs
  • Review each patient profile and consult directly via email or phone with PA and/or NP that is the provider on site at the clinic as the clinic supervisor. Signs off on patient medical charts as required by state medical board regulations. 
  • Provide mentoring and development of clinical staff until another physician is on site who is clinic physician only. 
  • Follows established policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental and/or infection control standards. 
  • Remote work which amounts to 1 day of work a month (aside from the 2-day training) or less if there is an on-site physician.    
  • BMAC procedure may be required from time to time to fulfill several patient protocols and a PA or MD is unavailable to perform on a scheduled date. 

 

Requirements:

  • BCBE in Family medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, or Pain/PM&R preferred Sports Medicine
  • Prior experience/background in BMAC procedures preferred but will provide training
  • MD or DO License to Practice Medicine in NY
  • Willingness to learn the practice of Regen Medicine and get trained in FL training facility for 2 days to learn comprehensive treatment protocols
  • Long term partnership to establish MSO for clinic operations 

 

Schedule:

  • 1 day per month for Remote Supervisory capacity

 

Compensation:

  • $1,500 monthly for supervisory capacity and an additional $1,500/day if needed for in-clinic work.
