We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join our expanding multidisciplinary Mental Health Practice located in Port Jefferson Station, Port Jefferson Downtown and Melville locations on Long Island. This person will serve as a key member of our leadership team. Island Psychiatry, PC was founded with the aim of providing a broad range of high quality mental health services. Responsibilities: Oversee and deliver comprehensive psychiatric care to patients
- Complete psychiatric screenings and evaluations
- Conduct examinations and consultations
- Obtain and review lab work and evaluate other medical conditions and documentation
- Make clinical recommendations
- Prescribe and monitor medications
- Consult with interdisciplinary treatment teams
- Utilize an EMR to complete progress notes and e-prescribe
- Support in the oversight and development of programs and practitioners
