Very busy practice. The position would be employed, part Inpatient, part Outpatient. We also have a 10 bed geriatric psych unit at our hospital. New Psychiatrist will rotate call with another physician - currently 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off. The doc has an office with two staff - a receptionist and an office clerk to do insurance verifications, assist with prescriptions, etc. "We’d be open to a doc that wants to oversee some counselors (social workers, etc.). It would be an additional bonus if the doc is interested in a Vivitrol clinic. The compensation would vary depending on the amount of supervisory responsibilities assumed by the physician."
Salary will be competitive, full benefits package is offered. The contract goes to productivity-based for the second year. With high RVUs and extra roles, the doc could earn close to $235K+. There’s really no cap on potential earnings with high RVUs.
