Job Description

Inpatient General Adult Psychiatrist – Portland, OR

Hospital specializing in treatment center for mental health, seeking Adult Psychiatrist-Inpatient General Adult or Military Service lines; 98-bed hospital and Outpatient Services programs are accredited by The Joint Commission; mission is to provide effective, and compassionate mental health and substance use treatment. Average daily caseload of 16; Mon-Fri days, 1:6 weekend rounding, 1:6 overnight call (phone only); Employed, benefits package, ability to earn additional income through bonus/productivity plan.

DETAILS:

  • Adult patient caseload consisting of inpatient, outpatient, or combination of both depending on personal preferences; 
  • Average daily caseload of 16; 
  • Participate in treatment planning, implementation and monitoring;
  • Review all diagnostic and treatment re(Login for Information)s on patients and complete discharge summaries;
  • Member of Medical Executive Committee, and attends and participates in other necessary meetings;
  • Evening/overnight call is split among team (average of once per week, by phone only); and
  • Monday-Friday, days only.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / LICENSURE:

  1. MD/DO degree from an accredited program (required);
  2. Board certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry (required);
  3. Licensed to practice in the State of Oregon or ability to obtain state medical license (required);
  4. Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians
