Job Description

  • Assistant Professor (Psychiatry)
  • 20956BR;36972BR;36973BR
Key Areas of Responsibility :
  • Provides patient care in consultation-liaison, outpatient and/or inpatient psychiatric care services
  • Supervises resident, medical students and fellows
  • Participates in the teaching program for fellows, residents and medical students
  • Participates in research and scholarly activities
  • Participates in committees and other administrative duties as assigned
  • Ensures compliance with HIP AA and billing regulations; adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Statement of Faculty Responsibility

 

Required Qualifications :
  • M.D./D.O.
  • Successful completion of ACGME- accredited residency program in psychiatry
  • Successful completion of ACGME- accredited fellowship program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Licensure or eligibility for medical licensure in Texas

 

Desired Qualifications :
  • Board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology+Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Demonstrated track record in research and peer-reviewed publications for the rank of associate professor or higher
  • Regional or emerging national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher
