University affiliated (440 bed) teaching hospital is actively recruiting. With the recent hires in neuroradiology, body and general diagnostic imaging, there are 6.25 FTE diagnostic Rads and 1 IR with back IR coverage. A radiology residency began July 1, 2022 with a PGY-2/R1 class and a PGY-1 integrated clinical year class. All physicians have13 weeks of pager call for Fluoro studies, weekend film reading with the team. Two radiologists work each weekend and a day off the following week is provided that is not part of vacation. Holidays are divided equally with some available for extra compensation. Average 1-2 shifts per week from home (7am – 4pm or 11am – 8pm) with no scheduled work between 8pm – 7am. Applicants interested in the 11a-8p shifts can see a higher number of home shifts. Back up coverage is available whenever required. Daily volume is 50 RVUs with credit for conferences, having residents to teach and lectures. They are actively recruiting for:
- Imagers needed - There is a high volume of specialized cases which find their fellowship trained imager. Radiologists can read a wide variety of basic exams with subspecialty cases to their individual level of expertise. Mammography is optional. Imagers receive 380k.
- Interventional Radiologist – ultimately with 3 IRs – 100% IR with one on vacation, CME time, Admin time, etc., while the other two each have an IR suite. IR call is 1 week out of 3 with no required diagnostic work on the weekends. IR will receive 420k.
All physicians are employed. Full benefit package including 20 days of vacation, 10 days of CME, 10 sick/appointment days and additional time for lecture planning and scholarly activity, health, dental, 10k CME, retirement plan with max. contributions. Located in the heart of southern California, halfway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs. Midway between surfing at the beach, camping in the desert, skiing in the mountains or downtown Los Angeles!
