Two Options:

#1 Private Practice Group (Joining a retiring physician's practice)
#2 Hospital Employed Setting

Seeking a well rounded General Surgeon.
Call Schedule: 5 days per month and rotate with 6 other Surgeons:
Office Space: Medical Arts Building on hospital campus, plus 11 offices vacant with 3 offices requiring some build out or minor refurbishment.
Reason for Search: Replacement: Losing two General Surgeons due to retirement and a third due to medical reasons. Hospital is seeking 2-3 additional General Surgeons.

Competitive Financial package including salary plus incentive bonus (based on WRVUs), nice benefit package, commencement bonus, malpractice insurance, relocation expenses, potential medical education debt assistance.

Anesthesiologists: 5 FTEs,
CRNAs: 7 FTE.
24 hour Anesthesia Coverage
4 ORS at Hospital and 4 additional ORs at nearby sister facility.
Incoming physician would be on staff of both facilities.
Hospital has two surgery centers and an OP clinic.
The hospital handles roughly 5,000 admissions, 10,800 surgeries (including ASCs) and 23,000 ER visits annually. General Surgery is a major service line for the facility with hospital responsible for 18-20% of the market share in comparison with its main competitor Hospital with 42% market share in the combined service area of the hospitals. With recent developments including the expected retirement of 2 high volume general surgeons and imminent relocation of a 3rd, Hospital is facing the loss of additional market share as well as coverage for ER on call.
