Job Description

(Login for Information) at (Login for Information), a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure clinical track Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor in the (Login for Information)(Login for Information). We are seeking a trauma medical director and four trauma surgeons for Memorial Hermann Hospital-Katy during the transition from an ACS-verified level 3 to level 2 trauma hospital. Candidates must be board-certified in both Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.

The selected candidate will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.

Trauma Medical Director - Memorial Hermann Hospital-Katy, Texas

Associate Trauma Medical Director or Trauma Medical Director experience is desired.

Level of Trauma Center: Level 3 in pursuit of Level 2

Number of trauma patients per year: 1800

Hospital System: Memorial Hermann Health System

Position Information:

  • Academic affiliation with UTHealth at level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor
  • Privileges at Memorial Hermann Hospital Katy current level 3 hospital in pursuit of level 2

Qualifications:

The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License. American Board of Surgery (both Surgery and Surgical Critical Care) certification required.
