This 222-bed, nonprofit acute care facility serves the surrounding region and holds a Level III trauma and NICU designation. The facility maintains established protocols and the staffing necessary to support continuous inpatient obstetric and gynecologic coverage. Clinical operations are conducted entirely on-site to address the facility's ongoing locum tenens coverage needs.

The clinician will provide 24-hour in-house call coverage (8am-8am) at an inpatient facility, with 6-8 call shifts per month anticipated for a 6-month duration. Primary responsibilities include managing inpatient obstetric cases, performing vaginal deliveries, and assisting with cesarean sections, which account for approximately 25-30% of the delivery volume of 60-65 cases per month. Abortions and postpartum tubal ligations are not performed, except tubal ligations conducted concurrently during cesarean sections. Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required for this assignment.
