Orthopedic Trauma Surgery PA/NP Locums Job in Florida | Seeking Candidates with Flexible Schedules for Intermittent Weeklong Needs Starting Fall 2026

Jackson and Coker’s valued client on the east coast of Florida needs 1-2 Orthopedic Surgery PA-Cs to assist with intermittent coverage needs starting this fall.

Coverage need: 
* Will be seeking support in both the clinic setting & in the hospital
* Coverage is to give current staff time off when requested, to help with holidays & to give more scheduling flexibility overall
* Specific work setting & shift type will vary and depend on provider that's requesting off or reason for need
* Facility anticipates requesting coverage with a minimum of 60 days' notice + for a minimum of 1 week at a time

Credentialing requirements:
* Active Florida license + DEA
* Two leadership peer references + 1 peer from the last 24 months
* Clean background/no criminal history

Privileging Requirements and Details for Assignment #115496:
* Board Certification or true Eligibility required
* Seeking candidates with Orthopedic Surgery experience, ideally with Orthopedic Trauma Surgery experience to include 1st assist
* Seeking candidates that are willing/prepared to work independently while rounding/in the clinic as needed
* Must provide documentation detailing a minimum of 500 hours of clinical services within the Orthopedic Surgery service line over the last 12 months for inpatient privileges
* Will likely be required to provide specific orthopedic surgery case logs for inpatient privileges from the last 12 months
* Current Ortho Trauma Staff: 2 MDs + 6 employed APPS (recruiting for additional perm candidates) + Full Trauma Team
* Clinic Volume/Schedule: M-F from 8:30-4P (12P on Friday), Average of 30 PPD - to include ortho, trauma wound care & small # of work comp (no spine)
* Inpatient shifts vary (floor coverage, OR coverage) but are generally 8-10 hour days, some shifts include 24-hr call coverage
* Facility detail: 150+ bed facility, Epic EMR, level 2 trauma designation
