Ganeral or Child Psychiatrist - Inpatient Services - Boston/Providence area     

Hospital is recruiting a General Psychiatrist or Child Psychiatrist to work in our Inpatient  Adolescent Programs.  Employed staff position; no call; All patient care is provided in a multidisciplinary treatment setting with an excellent treatment team comprised of psychiatrists, mental health counselors, nurses, social workers and other therapists.  

The work schedule is Monday – Friday and can be part-time or fulltime. There is no weeknight or weekend call.  Any ‘Doctor on Call’ scheduled is for extra compensation. General position duties will be admission evaluations; brief follow-up therapy contacts and medication management; treatment team leadership; and participation in medical staff meetings.

This practice is affiliated with a 103-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro just minutes from Providence, RI. Inpatient units are designed to treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, as well as adolescents with general psychiatric issues. Patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders can be treated on most units. There are also partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.
