This 198-bed general acute care facility is seeking a psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage across inpatient and clinic settings. The facility operates a 24-hour Emergency Department and an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit to support a broad range of patient care needs. The facility maintains established protocols and resources to support effective psychiatric care delivery within a structured clinical environment.

Muscle Shoals, Alabama offers a range of cultural and historical attractions suited to varied interests. The area is home to the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, both recognized for their significance in American music history. The psychiatrist will provide full-time inpatient and clinic psychiatric care for adult patients during day shifts, with call responsibilities maintained at a 1:1 call ratio. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and managing medications across both inpatient and clinic settings at a facility that also operates a 24-hour Emergency Department and an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit. The clinician will maintain on-call availability in accordance with the assigned call schedule. Board certification is negotiable for this locum tenens assignment.
