A large outpatient cancer center is seeking a Radiation Oncologist for locum tenens coverage.
About the Facility LocationThe facility is located in Mississippi.
About the Clinician's WorkdayThe department manages about 50 patients per day on treatment, which is divided among providers for an average of roughly 16 patients per day. The assignment is expected to last 4-6 months, with the possibility of extending longer if the provider is interested. There is no call. This is not a solo role-support includes an onsite chairman, two full-time radiation oncologists, an ample number of physicists with more than a 1:1 physician-to-physicist ratio, and residents. The facility uses EPIC for its EMR system.
