Orthopedic Surgery Locums Job in Iowa | 24-Hour Call + Clinic | Beginning June 23 – Ongoing | Assignment #115542

Coverage Details
-- June 23 – June 26, 7 AM – 7 AM
-- July 3 – July 15, 7 AM – 7 AM
-- Ongoing coverage needed

Shift Description
-- Clinic days: Monday – Friday
-- Clinic hours: 8 AM – 5 PM
-- Required to take 24-hour call
-- Follow-up clinic for assigned patients

Requirements
-- Board Certification (cannot accept Board Eligible)
-- Active Iowa license (IMLC not accepted)
-- Clean malpractice/background

Required Procedures/Skills
-- Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements
-- Hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot procedures
-- Experience with trauma, fracture care, sports medicine, and related disorders required

Assignment Details
-- Inpatient duties include post-op rounding, consults, and OR
-- Trauma Level III facility
-- Team includes 4 physicians and 7 APPs
-- APP supervision required
-- Teaching opportunities available (IM, FM, PA students)
-- Average hospital census: ~160 patients/day
-- Hub facility supporting surrounding regional population
-- EMR: EPIC
