Cardiology Hospital Based job located in New York
Job Description
Cardiologist needed at a 117-bed, non-profit, acute care hospital located in Geneva, NY. They are the medical hub for Ontario and Seneca Counties and its neighboring communities.
Primary responsibilities will be performing out/inpatient consults, and interpreting Nuclear/Stress Tests/ECHO, etc.
- Flexible schedule, five (5) clinical work week.
- Shared weekday and weekend call of 1:9
- Anticipated clinical volume will be between 24 patients per day (12 per ½ day)
- Incoming candidates should be proficient in all aspects of General Cardiology. Including Nuclear
- Board Eligible/Board Certified physicians only
- Visa candidates will not be considered.
- Candidates with experience are preferred but new grads will be considered.
Geneva is located between Rochester and Syracuse NY. It is in the heart of the wine/vineyard center of NY state. The Finger Lakes area is well known for its outdoor sports such as hiking, swimming, fishing, boating and golfing.
Being the center of New York State vineyard industry there is ample opportunities to sample the local wine offerings and cooking with numerous restaurants and vineyards in the area.
Excellent opportunities to raise a family or to plan for retirement . Farming is one of the largest industries with farm-to-table restaurants in the area. Craft breweries and farmers’ markets are also available.
Seneca Lake, the deepest of the Finger Lakes at about 617 feet at its deepest point and the second-longest at about 38 miles, draws fishing and boating enthusiasts to Geneva. Geneva is also popular with golfers and a mecca for bicyclists due to the flat, rural roads, and little traffic.
