Critical Care-Surgical Hospital Based job located in Georgia

A top ten hospital in GA is seeking an Acute Care Surgery Physician to join a well-established Acute Care Surgery team in the beautiful and historic Macon, Georgia area.  This opportunity will encompass Trauma, Critical Care and Emergency Surgery.  Macon is situated south of metropolitan Atlanta and within driving distance to the mountains and barrier islands of Georgia. The hospital physician group is an established multispecialty group of 200 + clinicians providing professional medical and surgical services to the hospital entities in Macon, Milledgeville, and Fort Valley, as well as, the patients in the Central Georgia area.  The hospital is a 637-bed American College of Surgeons verified level one trauma center. The hospital is the teaching program for Mercer University School of Medicine and has seen phenomenal growth and expansion fostered by a cohesive Physician and Administrative leadership team striving to achieve our mission to improve health, elevate hope, and advance healing for all with a vision to be the national leader for health, learning, and community.

Ideal candidates must be:

• Proficient in all general surgery procedures 
• Minimum of 5 years' experience preferred. 
• Board certified or board eligible MD/DO in general surgery and critical care
• Maintain an active Georgia license or ability to obtain
• Possess excellent communication (written and verbal)
