Emergency Medicine job located in Texas

Longview Regional Medical Center (LRMC) seeks a practicing, BC EM physician to meet fast-growing ED volume in this beautiful East Texas community:

• LRMC is a 131 bed, full-service community provider that recently broke ground on a major expansion to 230 beds that will also double the number of ORs.
• The modern, 24-room ED has seen significant growth over the past two years (up 12% in 2012 and up another 10% YTD for 2012, which may put it over 30,000 for the year).
• Currently 4 full-time ED docs on staff; current schedule is 1 week on then one week off; another week on followed by 2 weeks off. Shifts are 12-hours and rotate weekly between day/night. Mid-level coverage currently 18 hours a day.
• Compensation is based on a RVU productivity model with a floor. We anticipate physician will make somewhere in the neighborhood of $350,000 (Med Director can explain compensation formula). Additional income possible through night coverage for Hospitalists.

Longview, with a city population of almost 80,000 and a service area of more than 200,000, is ideally located in beautiful East Texas on I-20, just two hours from Dallas and less than an hour from fine dining and entertainment in Shreveport, LA.
