Job Description

The Division of Psychology at (Login for Information) Children's Health in Jacksonville, FL . Seeks a full-time Pediatric Psychologist.

This is a clinical position that includes providing specialized therapy services, primarily in our two satellite outpatient offices, with some time in our downtown location. We are looking for a strong candidate who has an interest in working with children and adolescents with a variety of conditions, including pain/headache management, sports psychology, disorder of the Gut-Brain interaction, and weight management (upcoming Bariatric Surgery program).

The focus of the position will involve functioning as an outpatient pediatric psychologist practitioner serving children with chronic medical illnesses within the medical specialty clinics at (Login for Information) Children's Health Jacksonville. Additionally, they may also be able to provide consultation/liaison services at the affiliated children's hospital (Wolfson Children's Hospital). Responsibilities also may include training and clinical supervision of postdoctoral level trainees. Educational opportunities, such as continuing education presentations, Grand Rounds, and multidisciplinary ethics rounds, are also available. Research opportunities are also available and encouraged.

Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA or CPA-accredited clinical psychology program
  • APA or CPA-accredited internship training
  • Postdoctoral training in pediatric or adolescent psychology
  • At least one year of postdoctoral experience in child/pediatric psychology.
  • Licensure or license eligibility in the State of Florida

We are part of the Department of Pediatrics and work closely with the Divisions of Neurology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Endocrinology, Pulmonology, Orthopedics, Urology, Anesthesia (Pain clinic), and Continence Clinic.
