Neurology Multi Specialty Group job located in Tennessee

Group is recruiting a BC/BE neuro-hospitalist o join the region’s leading Comprehensive Stroke Center located in Knoxville.  This is to replace a pending retirement in summer of 2024. Join an excellent team of physicians who oversee the  program headquartered on the campus of our flagship hospital.  Highlights include 100% inpatient opportunity, 7 days on / 7 days off schedule- two physicians staffed at a time each week, Vascular or Neuro-critical care BC/BE preferred, but not required, Currently six physicians in the group. Looking to replace a pending retirement summer 2024, 1 in 3 “home call” when on service  (5-6 nights/month total), Opportunity to assist with Telemedicine opportunities throughout the system, expert  medical support staff resources available including epilepsy, neuromuscular, neuro-critical care, neurosurgery, neuro-interventional radiology and outpatient neurology.  Highly Competitive salary, excellent benefits to include but not limited to: annual CME stipend, relocation allowance, 401K matching, malpractice, medical, dental and vision, disability & life insurance, Medical students available with additional compensation, but not required, Research opportunities and/or clinical trials if interested, but not required.  There is no state income tax so earnings go farther. 

 Knoxville, TN is an incredible southern gem.  It is a beautiful, mid-sized southern city of 300,000 with a big town vibe.  Ranked a top 10 college town, the University of Tennessee’s main undergraduate campus is located near-by to the hospital with world class, family-friendly sports and activities.  The location is also only 15 minutes from the international airport.  Other features include the most visited national park, Smokey Mountain National Forest is 45 minutes away and has a myriad of tourist attractions and other family-friendly activities, including Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Dollywood’s amusement park and their waterpark.  The region has many beautiful lakes as well.  Knoxville is in close proximity to Asheville, NC, Nashville, TN and Chattanooga, TN each approx. 2 hours away and 3 hours away from Atlanta.  The cost of living in Knoxville is also very good.  Home prices are lower than most other parts of the country.  Excellent public schools, ranking in the list of top schools statewide.  Private K-12 schools and numerous community colleges and technical programs.  This is a great city to raise a family in.
