West Cancer Center & Research Institute is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gynecologic Oncologist to join our extensive, well-established multi-specialty/academic physician group practice in Germantown, TN.

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology The division of Gynecologic Oncology strives to deliver the very best gynecologic cancer care in Memphis, the surrounding region, and beyond. We are fortunate to have gifted colleagues from other disciplines at West Cancer Center; medical students, residents, fellows, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, breast surgeons, ENT, medical oncologists, pathologists, and a robust phase I, II, and III research programs, Gynecologic Oncology specific Advance Practice Providers, nurses, and other support staff to offer the latest treatment options for gynecologic cancers. Additionally, we have 30 medical/hematologic oncologists that specialize in every area of medical oncology. If you want the best care for yourself or your loved one, there is only one choice- West Cancer Center.

More about the Practice

• Robotic Surgery- Not only have we performed thousands of these surgeries on both malignant and complex gynecologic surgeries, but we have pioneered new techniques, set local and national standards, and have trained all UT graduated robotic trained gynecologists since 2005. We perform more gynecologic robotic procedures than any other program In the State of Tennessee or any of the bordering states to Memphis.
• Innovative Therapies- A multidisciplinary approach of specialists, including gynecologic oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and geneticists, are used to personalize treatment against gynecologic malignancies. 
• Clinical Trials- We offer a variety of clinical trials available through NRG, GOG, and industry-sponsored trials. We cover the full spectrum of Phase I, II, and III trials in all of the subsets of gynecologic malignancies
• ACGME- Committed to training Medical Students, OBGYN Residents, and Gynecologic Oncology Fellows. We have the only Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program in the state of Tennessee and are 1 of only 50 in the United States.
• Access to Other Oncology Specialists Physicians- We have 8 radiation oncologists, 30 Medical Oncologists, 6 Radiologists, 2 Pathologists, 1 ENT, and 1 Palliative Care, and Pain Management specialist.

About the Role

Chief responsibilities include gynecologic oncologic surgical care of patients along with outpatient and inpatient consultation. Also responsible for training medical students, residents, and fellows. This position also includes the opportunity for protected research time, and successful applicants are expected to both participate in and serve as site Primary investigators on clinical in the Department of GYN oncology. There is also the opportunity for collaboration with other investigators in an exciting clinical research environment. This physician will provide care in a clinic setting, offering state-of-the-art surgical options to patients (access to over 12 robotic Xi) to treat both malignant and benign diagnoses.

The ideal candidate will be board-certified/board eligible and possess excellent clinical and surgical training.
