Job Description

Leading Regional hospital system is seeking a BC/BE Physiatrist to practice at rehabilitation hospital.  Position requires interventional skills and will join its dynamic, interdisciplinary rehabilitation team; a very collaborative department of 11 physiatrists with a four-year PM&R Residency Program in its 4th year.  Duties could include interventional spine injections, toxin spasticity management, electrodiagnostic testing, musculoskeletal ultrasound, care of the MSK patient This position is ideal for physiatrists with an academic or teaching background.  On call requirement is around 1:10 weeks for weekend coverage.  Highlights of the Department:  State-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital with 61 bed acute rehabilitation unit including 11-bed secured Brain Injury Unit, 50-bed Subacute rehabilitation unit, Therapy pool,  The Rehabilitation hospital is part of a large regional acute care hospital in Reading and home to many top tier specialty care centers.  It includes a Level 1 Trauma center, advanced primary stroke center, cancer institute, heart center, emergency department, maternity center and a Neonatal Intensive care unit and residency program.  There are more than 1,000 physicians and providers across 49 locations.  The hospital has been recognized for its quality outcomes and clinical expertise across multiple service lines.
