Supervising Psychiatrist/Medical Director Garner (Raleigh), NC 27529
We are seeking a Supervising Psychiatrist/Medical Director to join our group in Garner, NC. We are conveniently located in a suburb of Raleigh, just 6 miles south of the city. We are looking for a physician who can work independently in an integrated model and has some experience with child, adolescent, geriatric, and adult populations. Our ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, can handle complex situations, is familiar with inpatient and residential patients, and can provide leadership and direction to the team.
The incoming Psychiatrist will provide medical management for patients with a range of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders in an inpatient behavioral facility. The Medical Director will also provide on-site supervision and clinical support 3-4 days per week for ARNPs/PAs to ensure the quality of medical care for patients, medical record review, assessments, and chart signage. Serves as a resource to clinical staff; assists in coordinating response to emergency situations as needed; functions as a member of Clinical Services management; and participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement. This position is a hospital-employed position with a full benefits package for full time employment, and we are looking for the incoming Psychiatrist to work and grow with us as we go through an Inpatient Facility Expansion. Providers should round on each unit to see patients. Responsible for admission criteria and protocol and patient follow-up
Education/Requirements:
- MD/DO must be board certified in Psychiatry and licensed in North Carolina
- Medical degree from an accredited School of Medicine
- Current NC State medical license
- Health board registration mandatory
- Familiar with inpatient and residential patients
- Some experience with the use of EHR preferred
- Ability to manage referrals and retain a good relationship with physicians in the community
Schedule:
- Full Time/Part-Time/Independent Contractor
- Provider is expected to be on site 3 to 4 days per week for at least half days with the option to increase to full time
Salary (range):
- $300,000 (full time)
- $150,000 part-time 20 hours per week
