Sports Medicine Physician Opportunity in Maine
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Sports Medicine Physician to join a well-established Sports Medicine program with a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeon and 13 certified athletic trainers that support multiple high schools and universities in the greater Bangor area.
This is a non-surgical position with a primary focus on sports-related injuries, sports concussion management, work injuries and musculoskeletal ultrasound diagnosis and guided injections. This position offers a unique opportunity for a physician with a background in Primary Care, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine to join our medical center and provide comprehensive sport medicine services.
Applicants must have a medical doctorate from an approved medical college or equivalent, postgraduate training and be fellowship trained in Sports Medicine. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge in the utilization of musculoskeletal ultrasonography for procedures and diagnostics or those willing to undertake such training.

The OSL provides support for clinicians across the state, to build relationships, share experiences, and consult on cases and includes annual educational events.
