Sports Medicine Physician

Sports Medicine/Musculoskeletal Primary Care Practice in Pac-12 University Community

Regional Hospital is seeking a full time Sports Medicine Physician.

We partner with Inland Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Clinic through the  Regional Hospital Orthopedic Center of Excellence to provide orthopedic and sports medicine care to the community.

Regional Hospital is a critical access, independent, not-for-profit public hospital district. This hospital and network of clinics serve Washington and Idaho residents, students, faculty, and game day fans of Washington State University (a Pac-12 university) and the University of Idaho (a Big Sky university). Clinics include: cardiology, family medicine, pediatrics, podiatry, psychiatry & behavioral health, sleep medicine, urology, and surgery/endoscopy.

Position Details:

 

  • Full time position available as soon as possible
  • Salary range $300,000 - $320,000
  • Benefit include Medical, dental, and vision, Retirement, Short and long term disability, CME Stipend
  • Medical License, DEA and board certification fees reimbursed
  • Commitment Bonus
  • Relocation Assistance up to $10,000
  • Weekly patient contact hours – 36
  • Patients per day/clinic – 18-20
  • Clinic hours – Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
  • Call required for Athletic Trainers at Washington State University
  • General outpatient duties include Primary care, orthopaedic non-surgical, WSU Athletics, FM Residency precepting
  • Practice Environment will be Orthopedic Clinic, Family Medicine Residency Clinic and WSU Campus & Training Room
  • Mentoring Support will be available from one sports medicine physician to partner with for WSU Athletics coverage and from the WSU Team Physician at Inland Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Clinic

Patient Population:

  • Care of Pac12 university student-athletes and regional high school student-athletes
  • Primary care patients
  • Orthopaedic non-surgical patients

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed as an MD or DO in the state of Washington
  • Board certification in Family Medicine
  • Sports Medicine fellowship
  • CAQ certification in Sports Medicine
  • 1-2 years clinic experience preferred
  • 1-2 years working with collegiate athletes preferred
  • Enjoys working in an educational team-based environment
  • Must work collaboratively with the clinics, PRH and community

Home to Washington State University and 8 miles west of the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, This area offers big-city amenities coupled with small town charm.
