Hospital is committed to providing 24-hour trauma care to the surrounding counties. The American College of Surgeons has recently recertified the Hospital as a Level II Trauma Center, accredited through 2019 and verified to meet the standards for excellence in trauma care. As a Level II facility, Hospital provides definitive care for injured patients and is committed to trauma education and prevention. The trauma call panel of six general surgeons responds to all trauma cases consisting mainly of falls, MVAs, blunt trauma, and industrial and farming accidents. The trauma team is supported by excellent providers of many different sub-specialties. Acute surgeries would also be part of the surgeon's practice.
