Excellent opportunity for a full-time Board eligible/certified emergency medicine, family medicine or internal medicine physician to cover 2 Urgent Care centers - Mission Hills (more shifts here) andamp; Valencia. These are full service urgent care facilities that see high volume and high acuity. The UC facilities are open 7-days per week (9-9 on weekdays and 9-6 on weekends). Shifts are 12-hours on weekdays and 10-hours on weekends. There is also a back-up call system in-place with stipend. Our urgent care centers are not stand-alone facilities but are housed in our regular clinical facilities. Urgent care providers work as part of the care team, partnering with in-house primary care, medical specialists, surgeons (general/specialists), pediatrics, hospitalists, and referral specialists to facilitate continuity of care. Our facilities are generally very busy (physicians average 25-35 patients per shift), but there is a triage system and numerous standing protocols to facilitate patient flow. Epic EMR system. Overall, the groupand#8217;s patient population is split about 50/50 between managed care and FFS. Medical Group is rated one of the top medical groups in California by patients, health insurance plans, and accrediting organizations. It is a physician owned, multi-specialty group in Los Angeles with a 100 year history of clinical excellence and more than 200 physicians who provide quality care to the growing population in Los Angeles County. We care for patients at ten clinical locations throughout the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Simi Valleys, including two urgent care centers and dedicated women's health centers. The group has numerous committees and programs that facilitate not only improvements in patient care, but group operations as well. We also offer various leadership opportunities for physicians.
