Job Description
Medical Center is seeking an Addiction Medicine phyisican to join their expanding behavioral health practice
- Opportunity to work with an expanding, multi-disciplinary, and collegial department
- Clinical responsibilities include both inpatient and outpatient care
- Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- On-call coverage is phone-only and shared with a resident serving as first-line coverage
- Academic duties include supervision of addiction medicine and psychiatry residents as well as teaching medical students
- The program has received approval from the ACGME
- New Medical Office Building opening in 2028 featuring over 50,000 square feet of clinical space, including a dedicated addiction treatment area

- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency training program or of an approved combined medicine-psychiatry or family medicine-psychiatry residency training program
- Must be board eligible/certified in Addiction specialty (psychiatry or medicine)
- Must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of North Carolina, have a current state and federal prescriptive authority as well as a valid DATA 2000 waiver to prescribe buprenorphine products for the treatment of addiction.
