We are looking for a compassionate and experienced telemedicine provider to provide remote medical care to patients via audio and video calls as well as written communications. To be successful as a telemedicine physician, you should be detail-oriented and able to communicate with patients effectively through various virtual communication channels. Ultimately, an exceptional telemedicine physician should keep abreast of the latest developments in the healthcare industry as well as demonstrate sound medical knowledge and excellent analytical skills. Qualified candidates: 

Those who hold a valid state medical license, NPI # and are available anytime from 9am to 8pm in his/her time zone to complete (5 min minimum) audio only or audio/video consults with primarily geriatric Medicare patients (over 65) who want non-narcotic treatments for ailments such as pain which include but are not limited to durable medical equipment items like an off-the-shelf orthotic back, knee or wrist brace or a topical cream for pain or skin irritations & scars, wound therapy, mobility aids and lab testing services for genetic diseases such as cancer, various immune disorders, obesity, diabetes and more, remotely from anywhere through any device with a stable and reliable internet connection.

 

Responsibilities:

- Discussing and reviewing patients' medical history, symptoms, allergies, and current medications.

- Asking patients situation-specific questions to formulate accurate diagnoses.

- Formulating suitable treatment plans to address non-threatening conditions, such as common colds, cases of flu, ear infections, urinary tract infections, allergies, and rashes.

- Prescribing various diagnostic tests to aid in providing accurate diagnoses.

- Analyzing diagnostic test results and explaining them to patients.

- Prescribing suitable medications to patients and providing proper dosage and administration instructions.

- Maintaining accurate records of patient's contact details, medical history, prescribed medications, allergies, diagnoses, and progress.

- Advising patients on suitable diets and exercise regimens to improve their overall health.

- Assisting patients in managing chronic health conditions.

- Conduct consultations via phone, video or asynchronously depending on state telemedicine regulations.

- Follow best practices and company specific policies for diagnosis and treatment.

- Maintain relationship between physicians and senior executive leadership team

- Conduct virtual patient assessments, including collecting medical history, performing physical examinations, and diagnosing and treating common illnesses and injuries.

- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients, providing education and counseling on health promotion and disease prevention.

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment decisions.

- Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies, adhering to evidence-based guidelines and considering patient preferences and limitations.

- Monitor patient progress, assess outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize patient care.

- Provide patient education and support, including answering questions, addressing concerns, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all patient encounters.

- Stay current with advancements in healthcare technology, telemedicine practices, and relevant professional guidelines and standards.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in virtual primary care. The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business need0

- Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.

 

Requirements:

- Medical degree (MD/DO/NP) from an accredited institution

- Valid license to practice medicine in the state

- Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., internal medicine, family medicine, etc.)

- Proven experience working in a hospital or acute care setting

- Ability to ventilate and manage critically ill patients

- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to interpret medical charts- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

 

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Salary: $200,000.00 - $500,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
