Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH), a large public teaching healthcare system, affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Ob/Gyn physician who is fellowship trained in Urogynecology & Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery (UPRS), to join our dynamic practice in our Department of Ob/Gyn.

SCVMC hosts four residency programs and one fellowship training program, and partners with Stanford University SOM and Stanford Healthcare for the clinical training of medical students, residents, and fellows. SCVMC is an ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Center, a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, an ABA-verified Burn Center, a Primary Stroke Center, a Level 4 NICU, and a nationally recognized CARF-accredited Rehabilitation Center.  Owing to its geographic location and specialty offerings, SCVMC not only serves the County, but also the larger region.    

Providers in our health system also have the opportunity to use our integrated electronic health record (Epic), which brings together systemwide patient information.  The Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) recognized SCVMC for achieving its highest level of success (Stage 7), based on our continuous innovation and optimization of our inpatient and outpatient EHR.

About the Department

There are three hospitals with active General OB Gyn services including Labor & Delivery, Gyn Surgery, and Ambulatory OB Gyn clinics with fully integrated electronic health record. Our exceptional OB Gyn residency program provides opportunities for teaching and scholarly activity. Our department expects a commitment to continuous professional development, education, and ethical practice.

 

About the Position

This position requires clinical responsibilities in-office urogynecology and procedures, reconstructive and gynecologic surgeries including access to Robotic surgery. Candidates should have completed an UPRS Fellowship program and are UPRS board-certified or board-eligible, have excellent surgical skills in robotics, advanced laparoscopy and vaginal surgery as well as demonstrated excellence in clinical care. Successful candidates will demonstrate commitment to the underserved and culturally diverse patient population of the county of Santa Clara and dedication to medical education to residents and medical students.
