The Department of Internal Medicine, East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Quillen College of Medicine seeks a Clinician/Educator in our established university practice in Kingsport, which is located in the Appalachian Highlands of Northeast Tennessee. This is a three-year clinical appointment with renewal subject to performance. The ideal candidate will have the unique opportunity to be the faculty-attending physician for clinical and educational activities that focus on the care of patients and the teaching of internal medicine residents and medical students. Faculty rank commensurate with education and experience.
 

This position requires a strong interest in medical education. The candidate will be expected to participate in curriculum development and innovations in undergraduate and graduate medical education and will have adequate protected time for those activities. Interested candidates must be ABIM certified/board eligible or equivalent. Position is open to experienced physicians as well as current graduates with demonstrated leadership ability and a passion for teaching and excellence in patient care.

The job duties will be flexible, can include inpatient and/or outpatient care, and may be tailored to optimize work-life balance. Up to 20% salaried, protected time provided for educational duties and scholarship along with compensation from clinical collections.
