Neonatology Hospital Based job located in Iowa
University of Iowa Stead Family Department of Pediatrics seeks a Neonatologist. Appointment rank is open and may be to either the tenure track or clinical (non-tenure) track consistent with clinical experience and research interest. Appointment rank to Associate of Pediatrics (non-tenure track) may also be considered. The individual selected will join the Division of Neonatology to provide patient care, teaching, and consultative services as a Neonatologist. Candidates with experience with neonatal transport are encouraged to apply.
Must hold an MD/DO degree, or equivalent
Board certified or eligible in Pediatrics, or equivalent
Board certified or eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, or equivalent
License or eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa
Clinical experience in neonatology, including neonatal transport
Experience in Hemodynamics or Neurocritical Care
Experience in patient-oriented research
Teaching competence in pediatrics for medical students and residents
Evidence of scholarly activity
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

It is the only university-affiliated hospital in Iowa devoted solely to the care of infants, children, adolescents and young adults, and is Iowa’s only accredited Level 1 Regional Resource Pediatric Trauma Center. In 2019-2020 University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital ranked in six pediatric specialties in the Best Children’s Hospitals U.S. News and World Report, including neonatology, orthopedics, diabetes and endocrinology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, and is the only hospital in Iowa to be nationally ranked by U.S. News and World Report for children’s care. A new 190-bed children’s hospital opened in February 2017.
