Job Description
Neurohospitalist needed for a primary stroke center, serving a mix of general neurology, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, stroke, brain injury and ALS patients.
There is also an opportunity to conduct sleep studies if interested.
Full-service regional hub providing most surgical services, including Neurosurgery.
• Only Work 17 1/2 weeks per year
• Join Two Other Neuro-Hospitalists
• 1 Week On, 2 Weeks Off
• Typical Day on site is from 7:00A -6:00P
• Call is mostly patients already in house or new admits
• No overnight ED call. Covered by Vanderbilt Tele-neurology
• Average of five-seven new consults per day
• 9-10 follow up consults daily
• Trauma transferred
• Hospital EMR is Paragon
• ED census of 53,000 per year
• State-of-the-art neuro- imaging capabilities (MRI, CT, CTA, Nuclear Camera & PET), evoke potentials diagnostics, EEG & EMG
