Unique opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to practice in Interventional Radiology in Western Minnesota with award winning hospital. The NP or PA will join the fellowship trained Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Radiologist. Join a great team and help develop this new role in the practice. Provider experience is required, open to training NP/PA with prior surgical/procedure, pain management, urgent care, or orthopedic experience. Under the direction and supervision of the Radiologist, the position details include: Perform fluoroscopic examinations Perform minor procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, thyroid fine needle aspiration, arthrography, CT and US-guided biopsies, etc. Perform pre- and post-procedural follow-up patient evaluation, draft notes in the medical record Call results of imaging examinations, if needed Administer contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by the radiologist Administer general medications as prescribed by the radiologist in conformance with organizational policy EDUCATION andamp; LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: License to practice medicine andamp; DEA in Minnesota upon start Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Successful completion of PANCE board examination for Physician Assistant candidates or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) BLS required EMR SYSTEM: EPIC COMPENSATION/BENEFITS: Sign-on bonus, relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package are included with this full-time, permanent opportunity.
