Nurse Practitioner Other job located in North Carolina

FNP/PA needed for a Permanent full time outpatient position with a  Family Medicine/Urgent Care network (There are 18 clinics throughout NC, and 1 in SC). 

Responsible for practicing medicine with physician supervision including conducting examinations and writing prescriptions. Within physician–Family Nurse Practitioner relationship, FNPs/ PA's exercise autonomy in medical decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. FNP/PA primary responsibilities include Primary Care and Urgent Care . May include responsibility for education, research, and administrative services.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Conducts physical exams, assesses health status, orders, and interprets tests, prescribes medications, and treats illnesses including giving injections and suturing wounds. Consults with physicians as needed and refers to physicians for more complicated medical cases or cases that are not a routine part of an FNP/PA scope of work. 

2. Monitors therapies and provides continuity of care.

3. Triage's patient calls and evaluates patient problems. Responds to emergencies including use of CPR.

4. Counsels' patient/family on preventive health care.

5. Documents patient information and care in medical record and may maintain department statistical database for research purposes.

Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner/PA in Primary and/or Urgent Care.

Other Requirements: National certification and current FNP/PA state license. Current CPR, ALS, BLS certificates required.

Fri- 8a-12n
