Job Description
Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.
Major/Essential Functions
- Contributes to the University's mission through teaching students and residents, research and clinical services
- Provides patient care services in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Participates in research and scholarly activities in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in the area of Women's Health
- Participates in committees and other administrative duties
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Demonstrates Professionalism in accordance with Paul L. Foster School of Medicine Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
Required Qualifications
- M.D./D.O.
- Successful completion of ACGME-accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Successful completion of ACGME-accredited fellowship program in Gynecologic Oncology
- Texas medical license or eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in clinical and/or basic biomedical science research
- Experience education of residents and/or medical students
- Board Certification in Gynecologic Oncology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher
