Position Description
The Department of Pediatrics in the School of Medicine, University of California, Irvine, is seeking a physician in its division of General Pediatrics. This opening will be at the level of Assistant Professor or above depending upon the candidate's qualifications and will be in the Health Sciences Clinical Series (non-tenure track).
The Division of General Pediatrics has clinical practices in several locations, including the federally qualified health center (FQHC) system in Anaheim and Santa Ana. Successful candidates will provide patient care, supervise and teach residents and fellows, attend division meetings, and develop educational materials for providers and patients. The position requires flexibility with work hours, shifts, on-call duties, and locations to meet the division’s 24-hour needs.
Qualifications (required at time of application)
- Candidates must have an MD/DO or equivalent.
- Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the California Medical Board.
- Candidates must be Pediatrics board certified/eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics.
- Candidate must have demonstrated capabilities for teaching, professional service and/or research suitable for the HS Clinical Series.
Salary range: The salary range for this position is $200,758 – 267,736.
