About the Company
CES, Inc. manages medical legal evaluations on behalf of medical experts located throughout the United States. We work with medical doctors and other medical experts who possess all levels of medical legal experience. By outsourcing the managerial aspects of medical legal work, healthcare professionals can focus on their role as an expert instead of being burdened with administrative duties.
Job Summary
CES, Inc is seeking a Pulmonologist who is licensed to practice in California to perform one-time evaluations. The evaluations are not for the purpose of treating patients. Rather, they are required for the purpose of determining the applicant's condition and their ability or inability to return to work. These evaluations are mainly Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs). There is no follow up, prescribing, or on call required. You will evaluate patients in your own clinic/s. When applying, please let us know if you are willing to travel to other states to evaluate patients. Our client is willing to pay licensing and travel/accommodation costs.
Responsibilities and Duties
The physician will evaluate applicants/claimants who are referred by our clients. The examinees will be interviewed and examined as required by your specialty and the claimant's complaint. The Provider will then dictate findings onto a phone dictation system (or type their own reports) and provide an opinion as to the findings, positive and/or negative of your examination.
The Provider does not decide or recommend whether or not the examinee qualifies or should get benefits. This is an administrative decision that our clients will make with the help of your report. The Provider's participation is limited to answer very specific questions asked by the agency that will help them reach an adjudicative decision on the applicant's case.
